In this interview, Dr. Jennifer Giddings-Brooks discusses her early life, her educational experiences at Chapman College in Orange, California, Semester at Sea, and TCU. She also discusses her experiences as an African-American student and the first Black Homecoming Queen at TCU in 1971. Dr. Giddings-Brooks was involved in many campus activities and discusses what campus was like for Black students in the early 1970s.
