Peron, wife of the president of Argentina, christens Pan American World Airways' double-deck Clipper Friendship with champagne at ceremonies held in Buenos Aires (July 4). The christening ceremonies were held at Pistarini airport before a crowd of 20,000 persons and members of the group of U.S. publishers, editors and government officials who arrived in the Argentine capital on a pre-inaugural flight previewing PAA's super-deluxe El Presidente service. Shown left to right: Captain George Fly, who flew the Clipper from Rio de Janeiro to Buenos Aires; Raul Margueirat, chief of protocol for the Argentine government; Juan T. Trippe, president of PAA; and Mrs. Peron."
