Description
Members of the Youth Service Council at Fort Worth Polytechnic High School expressed anger and disappointment today at the reception given them on March 18, 1959 by the Texas Senate Jurisprudence Committee. The 70 boys went to Austin to promote their three legislative proposals. The measures would make it a criminal offense for a person under 19 to encourage another to sell or distribute narcotics; for a person under 19 to sell or "push" narcotics or for anyone knowingly to sell liquor to a person under 19.
