Description
Letter from Oscar Monnig to Elvin Phipps thanking him for returning not only the marked map, but a slide featuring images of both stones. States that he is quite certain the second stone is a meteorite, and that he understands Phipps' desire to not let it go at the moment-and that he is appreciative of the chance to be the first one to be given a chance to make an offer if and when he does want to sell it. Asks if Phipps can confirm for him if the chip of Belle Plaine that has been sent to the Smithsonian is a part of a third stone, or if it was a sample taken from one of his stones.
