Title | Republicanism and the Workplace |
---|---|
Author | Blankenship, Josh |
Date | 2016 |
Abstract | The republican conception of freedom has much potential to be considered within the context of the workplace. I discuss strategies by which republican freedom might be promoted, and highlight key weaknesses of each. I then discuss how republicanism competes against other priorities. I contend that domination cannot be completely eliminated from the workplace using existing proposals, and that there are situations in which one could rationally choose not to maximize republican freedom. |
