Letter re: flowers sent
Document
dc.description.transcription"Dear Mr. and Mrs. Carter-- You are so very thoughtful to send me those beautiful flowers while I was in the hospital! Mrs. Carter, I wonder if you told them Jjust what to send? --because it was the most exotic and stunning arrangement I ever saw -- huge yellow mums and tall bright-orange "red hot pokers" which gave it a tropical, modernistic look that was eye-compelling. I appreciated them very much-- and even more knowing that you were thinking about me and wishing me well. I'm up and out now and will be as strong as ever quite soon. With warm thanks, Bird Johnson"
