July 7, 1947 Mr. Amon Carter Fort Worth Club Fort Worth, Texas Dear Mr. Carter: It is just one month since your grand party at Shady Oaks for the visiting members of the Aviation Writers Association. My personal thanks and appreciation, of which you have my all, are too meager an expression for the sqell time we had with you. I have heard and read many fine reports from fellow AWAer's about Amon Carter's Party. The combined B-36 Consolidated visit and your party brought to a most pleasant conclusion the annual AWA convention. With kindest personal regards. Sincerely yours. Ralph McClarran
