Clifton, Texas March 22, 1944 Mr. Amon Carter, Ft. Worth, Texas. Dear Mr. Carter: - I am indeed grateful to you and the "Star Telegram" for publishing in Tuesdays issue the letter you received from your son in which he mentions the name of several Texans who have recently arrived at the same German prison camp where he is being held. Only recently we had received notice that our son Capt. Eben C. Bergman was a prisoner of the Germans but have not been able to communicate with him and had no idea where he was held, but now feel everyhing will work out for the best eventually. Let us hope and trust our "sons" will soon be returned to us safe and sound again. Mr. Carter let me thank you for this information. I am, Sincerely Yours, E.C. Bergman, Father of Eben C. Bergman, Clifton, Texas.
