dc.description.transcriptionClifton, Tex 30_45 Dear Mr Carter: - My husband and I thank you very much for the Telegram we recd. Sunday. It has been with no little concer, we have watched the news on the eastern front lately. We had hoped the Russians may be able to liberate our boys, but no such luck. We have had many pieces of mail from our son lately and the latest Dec. 18, they were then getting ready for Christmas the best they could with what little they had, he was in much better spirits than any time since he got there, he said tell you thanks for your letter he had just recd.
