Mar. 12, 1943 Mr. Amon G. Carter: Fort Worth Texas. Dear Mr Carter: You have our deepest sympathy in the sad news of Amon Jr's being missing in action since Feb. 14th. We realize what it means to you. Let us hope for the best. It may be that he is a prisoner & may yet reach home & be restored to you & his loved ones without serious damage. We have not heard from Greer since the battle in Tunisia, and we are praying that he may yet be safe. Sincerely yours, Dr & Mrs. W.O. Talbot.
