dc.description.transcription3/25/43 Dear Amon- I read today with great regret of the report that your son Amon has been missing since Feb 14 in the North African operation. And I sincerely hope he shows up alright in due course. And in any event I want you to know that you have all my sympathy in the mean time. Since last fall when I received active service I have been on Admiral (illegible) staff having a most interesting time. With very kindest personal regards I am sincerely yours Dan Ingals P.S. The Admiral asked me to express his regrets and sympathy likewise-
