dc.description.transcription12-7-43Dear Folks,The reservations are made at the Alcazar for the 25th& 26th, so make the train reservations and everything will be set. I don’t know how much time I’ll have off Christmas, probably not very much, but come on anyhow because every little bit that I’m with you will be worth a year.I do have some news this time. I am no longer in class 44 E. I am in class 44 F. How I got there? its still quite a mystery but it goes something like this. Due to the need for pilots they have cut down the washout rate so low at Primary that the Basic and Advanced schools can’t handle the cadets that are graduated. Out of this the need grew to put back a month some of the Cadets. I was one of the ones chosen to be kept here another month. In other words all of the flying I have been doing the past month has been gratis and can be chalked up to experience. It adds up that I’ll be graduated from here two months from now with 95 hrs. instead of one month with 65 hrs.The weather still has not been suitable forme to go up solo so I haven’t soloed yet. This is one of the main reasons why I was revented.I’ve got a big Meteorology test coming tomorrow so I’ll quit and get with it.Lots’ o’ love,Joe
