dc.description.transcription10-24-43Dear Folks, Another Sunday so a chance for another letter. I’m not due in from open port for a couple of hours yet so this time is really my own. I’ve been a bad boy today, I slept through revelie, mess call, and church call so I didn’t go to church. None of the formation were required so everything is all right. I went down stairs and found Carl H. still sleeping so I got him up and we went to town, which is about a mile away from Maxwell, you cantell Lamar. At town we ate, boweled, went to a show, ate, and came home. Nothing exciting, nothing boering, just an average open post in Montgomery. You can tell Weasilpuss William Walker Frank Francess Jodepa Joseph Nasex Hays to be flattened because she had priority on all of my dreaming this morning. She was here at Maxwell staying with the M.P.’s when she wasn’t with me. Tell Eddie he didn’t even get in my dreams once. The only thing new or exciting is that I am still passing Physics. Two 70’s adorn my name so far and there is only one more test to sweat out so perhaps I can pass after all. Incidentally there aren’t very many tests of any kind that remained to be passed around here. In other words I’ll be leaving here before so very long. My destination of course is unknown but it will be known before I leave, maybe I can tell if the give the O.K. sign. I’ll quit now and try to get a letter off to Jack Cameron who is at Fordaham University. He’ll be there 9 mos. and then he’ll be a finished product engineer. I’ve just had one letter from him from there, but he seems well satisfied so far.Mama you or Papa one tell the Preacher that I got his letter and appreciated it very much and that I will answer it as soon as I have time. Also tell Amy that I got her letter and I’ll answer it as soon as possible.Love, Joe
