dc.description.transcriptionDATE MAY 4 1947 ABOARD FLAGSHIP ST. LOUIS OUR POSITION: OVER WACO TEXAS AT 5:39 P.M. C.S.T. ALTITUDE 7000 ft. above sea level 6500 ft. above the ground. TEMPERATURE at this altitude is 70°F. We are cruising at an AIR SPEED of 225 mph. Due to assisting effect of the wind, our forward or "ground" speed is 235 mph. We are due to arrive at DALLAS approx 6:05 p.m. C.S.T. Ground Temperature there is 97°F. REMARKS: WACO IS JUST OUTSIDE DALLAS WHICH IS JUST OUTSIDE FORT WORTH.
