November 4, 1944 Dearest Dad, Finally arrived and it is quite a job trying to keep warm. We still haven't received any clothes, blankets, or food parcels from the RC. They had all last summer to send them to us and now it is just about too late. The food parcels. I have been receiving from home are swell but here is a list of things I would like in every parcel: 12 ounces Nescafe in a can, 1 box Kraft powdered whole milk, 1 box pan cake flour, 1 cake mix, 1 nestles ever ready cocoa, 1 can of pepper, 1 can of spices, 2 boxes of chili beans, 1 can of chili powder, 2 pounds of cheese, powdered eggs, 1 pound of sugar, 20 Gillette blades, and fill the rest up with candy. I don't want any dried fruits or vegetable flakes. Be sure all powder is in a can or box so it won't arrive hard as a rock. You can possibly image how much this parcel means to us since we have no food parcels. Ask Larry about it. My cigar parcels are arriving and I now have 800 on hand. Too bad I can't eat them. Here is the number of letters I have had from different people: Ruth 69, You 59, Katrine 26, Mother 148, Jean 31. everyone is fine as possible and now we have 1000 here and more due. We have stopped all athletics due to the energy required. Buddy Russell and Marshall Kennedy may soon be on their way home. Give my love to everyone, and wish them a Merry Christmas. I may be home for the next one. Love, Amon Jr.
