Dear Katrine, I have 12letters from you so far. The Germans have been censoring the prisoners mail quickly and we get mail daily which helps make our lives and living conditions lots better. You know my attitude on mail, well just keep writing often. I hope all my friends don't harass you too much about how I am getting along. Your last letter was in the last week of August. I have received 4letters mailed in September. Guess that nearly everyone is working extra long and hard these days. I still don't believe that last interesting letter, I just received. You explained about that cat-fish that had jumped from the darn fishing line. Funny, but I am of the fine opinion that fish are scarce, especially at our farm. Now don't get mad eel hurriedly because I guess you're best, in regard fishing but I think I am a better hunter. I hear a lot of my letters are published in the paper, well I wish they wouldn't do that, It's sort embarrassing, Does Jim Simmons live on 91st Street or Knox St, I have forgotten. Received another book parcel. Have had nice letters from the following people: Ray Lee, McWhirter, Edna Burchill, High Pockets, Mr. North, Suzanne Richardt, Flem Hall Bertice, Mr. Scarborough, Hugh Smith, Mr. Swasey, Mr. Gignilliat, Ben Keith, Mrs. Ericson, Lou Fleming, Mr. Kriendler, Mr. H.Graces, and Mabel and Stanlet. Please thank them for me. Merry Christmas to all. Give Carl and all my regards. Love, Amon Jr
