December 7, 1943 Dearest Ruth, Have received 15 swell letters from you and really appreciate the news. Heard bad news about Lt. Overstreet and only hope all this will be over before long. A year behind barbed wire is enough for me. We have 15 hours of darkness here now which doesn't help much. We have 300 officers here now, a lot of friends of Joel Westbrook ***********************. How about some pictures of you and your girlfriends, they really cheer us up. Please write often, Capt. Fraiser's wife lives at 11 Bronxville Road. He is a good friend of mine. Love, Bud
