Mr dear Amon Carter! When I returned from a fishing trip to Oregon Inlet, I found the pail of pecans waiting for me. Many, many thanks for having us. When that "wondering-boy" of mine returns - I know he will enjoy them too - The enclosed brought me a great deal of rejoicing as I have scanned the newspapers daily for some news of Amon Jr! I know your trip overseas was a most interesting one & I hope you had a family reunion. Many thanks again for the nuts - I'm sincerely yours, Eleanor P. Arnold "B" - May 4th 1945
