Friday: Dear Mr. Carter: Perhaps you already know this information, but in case you haven't I want to tell you that in the letter you brought to me from Sidney, he said that they belonged to the British 1st Army and for me to watch their progress. Since this outfit is now in the newspapers, I'm watching closely. Our boys will be all right - I know that. They're real men, and they can take it; they wouldn't be happy elsewhere. Sincerely, Jane Wiedermann
