dc.description.transcriptionBenton, Ark. Nov. 14, 1935. Mr. Amon G. Carter, Dear Sir, Thinking of you as a friend of Mr. Will Rogers. I have designed and made a quilt top in memory of Will Rogers, the quilt is made of five colors it consists of "one Star" several air planes, I call it the, "Flying Star Will Rogers." I haven't showed the quilt to any one but the name has caused quite an excitement, the quilt is beautiful there has never been anything like it I wish to sell my design. If you will be interested, please let me hear from you on return mail I will keep the quilt from the public until I hear from you.
