Maplewood Chelsea, Oklahoma October 26, 1947 Dear Mr. Carter, Thank you so very much for your wonderful invitation for the 4th of November. My brothers, Herbert T. McSpadden of the Rogers Ranch at Oologah will fly down to Fort Worth with me the morning of the 4th. We all think you are a marvelous person to honor the friend you loved so much. I had the pleasure of coming to Ft. Worth when the Will Rogers room was on display the summer of 1936. My mother, Mrs. McSpadden - Mr. Rogers' sister - was unable to make the trip and sent me. You were such a wonderful host that I have never forgotten those enjoyable days. Again thanking you for the invitation, and looking forward to attending the luncheon and dedication, Very Sincerely Helen McSpadden Eaton (Mrs. Lucian A. Eaton)
