Dear Amon: There came to us in Venezuela a few days ago the announcement of your unveiling of the Elctra Waggoner monument to Will Rogers memory, with the invitation to partake at the same time of your famous Shady Oak hospitality. We shall miss the ceremony and the luncheon, much to our regret, but we rejoice in the knowledge of your thought of us and in the realization that you continue to do these useful things for Fort Worth and for Texas. What an imposing record of achievement you have made. We thank you and we extend you every good wish! Sincerely, Wallace E. Pratt. Wallace E. Pratt Mr. Amon Carter, P. O. Box 1036, Fort Worth, Texas.
