Maplewood Chelsea, Oklahoma Nov. 25-1950 Dear Mr. Carter - We can never thank you enough for your generous gift to the Will Rogers Memorial. Nov. 4th 1950 will always stand out as the highlight of all the other days celebrated. I'm quite sure Uncle Will understood what his best friend was doing - you know so well his love for you - and we all know of your love for him - so magnificently expressed by the presentations of the statues - Some times, mere words, are terribly inadequate - and this is one of those times - None of us could ever express our love and appreciation to you - and to Mrs. Carter - I was so glad to have the grand visit with you both and want you to know you made the day the success it was. Some time, I wish you could drop by Chelsea. Wishing you both the very best wishes, Sincerely Helen McSpadden Eaton. (Mrs. L. A.)
