dc.description.transcription3-1 33 Gov. Franklin D. Roosevelt 49 East City of New York My dear Governor I notice by the newspaper reports that Forbes Morgan is being considered for assistant secretary of commerce stop I had never known Mr. Morgan until my association with him during the campagin which gave me an opportunity to appreciate his good qualities and his thorough capability in handling most any responsible position in Washington and I sincerely hope the newspaper reports were correct. stop one of the most important positions affecting the administration is ass't secretary of the treasury in charge of public buildings either Forbes Morgan or Arthur O'Brien could fill this job beautifully and I bespeak for these two very fine gentlemen your consideration as both of them have served the campaign diligently honestly and patriotically Kindest regards Amon G.
