dc.description.transcription | Mch 5. 1931 A. G. Carter Star Telegram City. Dear Sir Yours of the 3rd just received enclosing check for $6750.00, which I am returning herewith. Last Thursday in an offhand way I told you I would take 1.50 for my start stock, not thinking you would give it, & I did not want to sell, as I showed you plainly by trying to leave when you wanted the stock. You crowded me & I said "give me the money". You said you did not have it & for me to give you a chance, so I gave you till Saturday, though you know I did not want to sell. Saturday, Coy told me you wanted me to leave the stock with him & you would take it up Monday. I told him "nothing doing". Now I gave you two chances & you took neither, so be satisfied. Coy got my Gas Stock the same way. I shot my mouth off & he took me up & I said, "give me the 5.00" He did it & he got the Stock. He took up my proposition. You took up neither proposition, & you have no right to complain. Yours truly E. D. Farmer. | |
