Letter from Frederick Leonard to Oscar Monnig stating his interest in working together to try to acquire the Amber stone. States his frustrations in dealing with Van Long-including that the price he offered was to acquire the stone for the University of California collection as it was too high for his personal collection-and his belief that the man has a plan to turn an excessive profit off of the stone itself. He suggests that if he, Monnig, and Henderson work together they might be able to all acquire pieces for themselves at more decent prices by making Long realize that he wont see the kind of profit he appears to be anticipating.
