Description | Letter from Oscar Monnig to Glenn Huss (of the American Meteorite Laboratory) thanking him for sending him the requested specimen so quickly, and stating that he has enclosed a check to pay for it. Also mentions that he has spoken with McCrosky about the impending closure of the Prairie Meteorite Network due to a mixture of funds and a sense that their contributions have come to an end. Finally discusses his ongoing search for the January 9th meteorite strewn field, and how he has concluded that they either have the wrong heading, it was an icy comet, or it was a very fragile carbonaceous chondrite. |
