dc.descriptionRegistered Mail receipt for a package sent by Oscar Monnig to Glen Harris Orr (the finder of the Tishomingo), along with a letter letting Orr know that he is sending back a part of the 5.5 pound Tishomingo specimen via a customer who had been at his store because he felt that was safer than sending it on via USPS. Includes his advice on how to store and care for the specimens in Orr's possession, his hope that this one will arrive in time for the planned display, and his hopes that if Orr ever seeks to sell the Tishomingo specimens he will allow Monnig to either buy them or negotiate a fair price. Finally, mentions that he thinks that Orr should put up one of Monnig's circulars but with his name on it at the planned display so that if more falls occur in the area people will know that they can contact Orr.
