Letter to Oscar Monnig from Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) stating that having looked at the Tishomingo sample that Monnig sent him home with, he is certain that it is a meteorite, an ataxite to be exact, but that he is holding off final judgement as it is so unusual. Also pleads with Monnig to let the museum go in with him on buying the main masses as they desperately need a sample for their own display, and that it would only serve to increase the value of whatever portion Monnig keeps for himself. Finally lets Monnig know that they have found his Harriman, Tennessee meteorite, and have boxed it up to be returned.
