| Description | Copy of letter from Oscar Monnig to Glen Harris Orr (the finder of the Tishomingo meteorite) saying how nice it was to see the Orr family recently, and restating his offer of a total payment of $2,500 for all the Tishomingo meteorites, excepting the portions that would go back to Orr, non-inclusive of the $600 he paid to Whiteley. Expresses that he would like to settle this matter once and for all. Also requests Orr's permission to allow the Smithsonian to cut a little more off of the smaller specimen in their possession. |
