dc.description.transcription | Two fragments of this Karoonda-type carbonaceous chondrite were found in the Libyan Sahara weighing a total of 492 g. Another CK meteorite of petrologic type 4/5 was also found in the Sahara, DaG 250. However, DaG 275 has a different cosmic-ray exposure age (35.2 m.y.) than that of DaG 250 (27 m.y.). Furthermore, the noble gas data does not conclusively lead to pairing. More recently, two meteorites, DaG 412 and NWA 060, were found in the Sahara and classified as CK5. DaG 275 has been weakly shocked to stage S2 and highly weathered to grade W4. The above specimen of DaG 275 is a 15.2 g complete slice. | |
