dc.description.transcription | Dear Elo: I hope all goes well with you. Bob nd [and] I are still kicking, but I sold our family businessin [business in] May of 1980 and have beev verty [been very] busy with that efforte [effort] and resulting income taxes! I'm just now sort of catching my breath in retirement, but my eyes have faioed [failed] me badly. I do not think we ever adequately checked the sample you submitted way back there, t jo I still have tho [the] material before me. Could you possibly send me slightly larger piece of it, as intact as possible? I am checking all of our meteorites and I need o know just where you got the Davy meteorite that was so badly broken up. Could you mark the locality of find on the enclosed map and return it to me? Then we have another sonte that I think we got from you, fo nd [found] by Ramond [Raymond] Kyrisch as I now recall. Can you makr [make] the location of his find on this map? If you need the map of some adjoining countym [county] let me know. Thanks again for your help. Our association has been a source of great satisfaction to me, and I hope to you. You probably know there was a stony meteorite found near Cuero some years ago and an iron from Yorktown, both in the possession of the University of Texas. So there havebeeb [have been] a lot of meteorites found in our vicinity! Thansd bes [Thanks best] wishes. | |
