dc.description.transcription | Texas Press Clipping Bureau Dallas From Deport May 16 1940 (Texas) Date (Deport) Deport Man Sells Meteorite for $64 That supposed meteorite found last week by J. J. Gray on his farm northeast of Deport turned out to be the real thing and he sold it Monday to a Fort Worth meteorologist for $64. The meteorite weighed about 12 pounds. Mr. Gray, did not say what he intends doing with the money, but one farmer suggested that if he were in his shoes he'd buy a pair of field glasses and give that farm a good going over. | |
