Amesbury 14th 12 mo 1875 J R Os Co I wish you to send me 10 copies of the V.P. Snow Bound. putting them at the wholesale or trade price, & the bill with them. Also 2 copies of the L: Classic vol. “Comedy”, & oblige Yrs truly John G. Whittier [The following line has been carefully marked over.] How would it do to print in the V.P. Series, under the title of “Portraits” my Essays on Bunyan, Baxter, Ellwood [p.2] and Roberts? Would it be advisable to publish “Mabel Martin” with two or three illustrations in this V.P. collection? I think you published a cheap edition of “Hanging of the Crane.”
