dc.description.transcription | 1964, Oct. 14 Mr. Wilson Smith, Box 1085, Fort Stockton, Texas. Dear Mr. Smith: I have never been back down your way. The trip I hoped to make with some geologists never panned out. My mind is on the Eldred meteorite again. I would really like to press the matter to a conclusion now, and am prepared to come down there this fall if I thought I had a good chance of success. Will you be good enough to advise me if he still has it and if you think I might get it by again appearing on the scene with the necessary cash, probably in the $200-$300 bracket? I will probahly [probably] be in Midland anyway sometime within the next month, maybe even next week or so, and could come on down to Ft. Stockton then. I hope you are getting along famously. Sincerely, | |
