dc.description.transcription | October 22, 1944 To: Mr. W.M. Green Box #426 Broken Bow, Oklahomma Dear Grandma and Grandpa: I hope this finds you feeling as well as I. Your other letters must be misplaced because I have received only one. Certainly would like to hear from you and all the folks. Please ask them to write to me. our treatment here is very good, considering the circumstances and the probable treatment of prisoners in other countries. So rest assured of my safety. There is no reason for worry. I constantly think of you and the rest of my relatives and friends. Perscy Richardson was fine the last time I saw him. Give everyone my love. I am sure the war must be over soon. It has been so long. Expedite return transportation. Take care of yourself. All my love, Smith From: Smith L. Green Camp #84 Osaka P.O.W. Camp Mr. and Mrs. W.M.
