This same bomber is scheduled to return to Fort Worth on February 12, 1959, to be decommissioned from service as the last B-36 of the Air Force's Strategic Air Command. Following the decommissioning, the aircraft will remain at Amon Carter Field in Fort Worth, Texas, as a memorial to the many citizens and Air Force personnel of the city who had a part in the plane's development."10x8.25 PhotoPrior written permission from TCU Special Collections required to use any document or photographAviationConvairUnited States Air ForceB-36 bomberDocument
