Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) to Oscar Monnig letting him know that while he was in Columbus, Ohio he had scientists from the Battelle Memorial Institute look at the specimen of Tishomingo, and they noted some interesting formations. Pleads with Monnig to get permission from the main mass owners to let the Smithsonian cut one of the two main masses into three parts and keep the center piece for themselves. Promises to offer a most reasonable price, as well as covering shipping and cutting costs, and makes it clear to Monnig that this is seen as a time sensitive matter.Prior written permission from TCU Special Collections required to use any document or photograph.MeteoriteTishomingo (Okla.)Ungrouped ironOrr, Glen HarrisOrr, R.
