Letter from Oscar Monnig to Edward P. Henderson (of the Smithsonian Institution) thanking him for confirming that the Presido samples he had sent on came from an artificial source as the man who had shown it to him did not believe that he was correct when he expressed doubts on it being a meteorite. Asks why Henderson or the Smithsonian would want to cut the big Tishomingo specimen when they have already cut two others and would almost certainly find the same structures once more repeated. Also asks for confirmation that Richard D, Buchheit still works at the Battelle Memorial Institute as he (Monnig) wishes to possibly do a write up on the composition of the Tishomingo meteorite and wants to check with both main researchers (Henderson and Buchheit) that that would be okay. Finally, also asks for Henderson's advice on how to fill in growing cracks on a large sample he has been storing for years outside.
