Letter from Van Long to Oscar Monnig, saying how nice it has been to hear from him again, and that he had unwrapped the slices of the stone and that they look the same as when he had last seen them a year or so previously. However, he makes it clear that he is still unwilling to sell the stone for less than almost thrice what he is being offered by either Monnig or Leonard.
