Description
Letter from Oscar Monnig to Edward P. Henderson explaining that it is his understanding that Van Long had never responded to him because he did not want to chip or part with a piece of his stone-due to his previous negative experience with the University of Oklahoma. He further outlines his matching offer to that of Frederick Leonard-at a price he feels is exceedingly high-and how in such a situation he would have been working to divide the majority of the stone up between himself, Leonard, and the National Museum.
