Dear Dad, Just finished studying with Captain Carlson. Lots of persons studying different languages. My pronunciation of German is peculiar but that is no news to you. My old Spanish is more of a check than a help because I am always inserting an unknown Spanish word in the middle of a German sentence. Received two letters yesterday and one letter today from you all, and glad to see you are getting my mail. So far I have had over 200letters. Sorry I haven't got quite enough cards because I find it very interesting, writing to friends; especially when down in Africa. Just thank everyone However; for the joy, their swell descriptive letters brought here. After I come back home, everyday I hope it's soon, Katrine can expect drastic changes in Carter's office. I just want to be myself again, just go and come as usual, but stay at home more. Today we received a very nice shipment from the Red Cross, special Xmas food parcels and plenty of warm clothing. We really need it bause some officers have had only what they were captured with, and that is usually nothing. This is the first sufficient clothing shipment we have had in 9 months. Those food parcels really look swell, so we are looking forward to a nice Christmas. I know it will be white because snow and ice is EVERYWHERE. Am waiting now for my wrist watch, (over) It should arrive any day. How about a German grammar in one of my book parcels? also some "Nescafe" in my next food parcel with sacarine tablets, it's a soluble form of coffee. Am getting along fine. Regards to all. Love, Amon, Jr.
