My dear Mr. Carter: I presume you have returned from England by this time and I do want to thanks you for your kind thoughtfulness in having your office telephone me of your contact with my husband, Colonel Sibby. In a recent letter, Colonel Sibly mentioned spending a most delightful evening when you were last to himself and a friend. I can sure you both Colonel Sibly and myself appreciate your helping him get his mind off the job. I felt quite picked up after speaking with your secretary for I feel close to England and to Sib. It was indeed a kindness I trust we may someday have a opportunity to return. Sincerely, Ms. Cleland Sibley
