Letter from Oscar Monnig to Frederick Leonard apologizing for the delayed response to his previous note, as it had taken time for him to clear his correspondences after his own vacation. He states a willingness to view the extra $50 he paid for the Amber Stone as a donation, as well as the two trips he made to visit Van Long, and that he will accept whatever compensation for the pieces they take that the University of California deems appropriate. He also mentions that he is fully willing to hold onto extra pieces to the one that he would like for himself if the University does not desire them.
