Abstract | The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division I reorganized its governing structure in August 2015. As a result, the Power 5 Conferences, the BIG 10, the Southeastern Conference (SEC), the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), the Pacific Coast Conference (PAC-12), and the Big 12 Conference, formed an autonomous group that could modify and create new governing regulations. This thesis analyzes the impact the Power 5 Autonomy group has had on the number of high quality student athletes and the high quality student-athlete experience. |
