My dear Amon - - We had such a glorious time in Las Vegas. I have never known such a nice group of young people they were a joy to be with. It was so nice of you to (illegible)-stake me so that I could gamble - but I did not win. Red says that I was afraid and that fear money never wins. Any way it was good fun. Red is in California just for a short trip. He plans to be back here for a meeting on Wedensday. I am trying to get ready for Xmas but I do not have much heart in it. We are not going to Vernon this year and I know that we are going to be lonesome and miss them very much. Thank you again for my gambling stake. Always, Francys. Dec. 6.
