Feb 19, 1940 Mr. Amon Carter. Ft. Worth, Texas. Dear Mr. Carter: I hesitate to presume upon your time for I know you have so many demands made upon you. However remembering your gracious friendliness in the past and believing you ill extend that graciousness to me again I am taking the liberty of asking a favor of you. I am quite anxious to get into radiou work but am at a loss to know how to make the contacts necessary to get started. From my many years of experience both as a teacher of the spoken word and a public reader I believe I can make good if given the chance. The times I have spoken over radio on local stations and at the Heisman banquet in New York I have been told that my voice registered well. I have a friend who writes excellently well. She has arranged a series of radio programs which I believe will have a universal appeal. Assuring you of my deep appreciation for all your m any kindnesses extended to David and me in the past and for any suggestions you make to me now, regarding the radio work and with kindest regards to you and your lovely family. I am, most sincerely, Ella May Keith O'Brien
