Dec. 22 1940. Dear Mr. Carter:- I do hope that there is an infinitesimal part of the cheer in your heart that you are filling the hearts of others with - you are just too nice to be real - I tried to thank you a few days ago - Since then you have showered us with goodies - I am afraid with all these delicious things to eat we will be waddling instead of walking. Everything is so good. Thank you a million. The fun is beginning today - there was frost this morning - alltogether it is a grand day after the drizzle of fthe past week. Mr. Garner had a fine day hunting yesterday - he is going out again tomorow - wants to be out as much as possible before he leaves. I will go to Amarillo the day he goes to Washington. My love and best wishes to the foursome. Hope we will be seing you. With great affection - Sincerely Ettie R. Garner
