dc.description.transcription | 9/9/42 President Franklin D. Roosevelt president of the United States White House Washington DC USA. Dear Mr President I am here on the Intial Trip of the American Air Lines' new service to Mexico City and Monterey. This new service has been received with open arms by the business interest and Mexican government officials and it should be the means of further cementing the friendly relations between this great country and the United States. What they seem to want here now is a further enlargement of te services. The Mexican people are fine hospitable folks. Thoroughly patriotic and on their toes to help win the war and I hope the United States gives them (illegible) help possible as soon as possible. My best and kindest regards to you sir Amon G Carter | |
