dc.description.transcription | Indianapolis Ind March 9, 1943 Mr. Amon G Carter Fort Worth Texas, Dear Mr. Carter. Saturday evening as I was eating my dinner the enclosed broadcast came over my radio. You can imagine my excitement when I heard the name of my husband mentioned. Perhaps you have already heard this news but if not I am sure it will interested you because we know it was men and officers of the 91st F.A. Bn. in which we are very much interested. The last letter I had from Major Stipp was written Feb. 11th and he said it was going to get "hot" over there in more ways than one. Do you know that Lt. Col. Summerall is back int he States? That is all that I do know. He brought back and mailed a letter to one of the women here in Indianapolis from her husband. So far I have had no word from him. Hoping you will find the enclosed copy of the broadcast interesting. I remain, Sincerely Mrs. George M. Stipp 3239 N. Illinois St. Apt 11. | |
